Where Have You Been?

Many of you have been wondering why I didn’t have a Fall Season of the podcast last year. Well, I’d like to bring you up to speed on why that was the case and what God has been doing through it all.

I was in a storm last July. Rather than get into detail on it, what I can tell you is that it took a toll on my mental health that I needed to stop and let God do some work through me. One of the ways that He’s done that was to direct me to a new Young Adults Group. It’s called Kaleo, and they meet at NorthCreek Church in Walnut Creek, CA. Now, I have to be honest, I never was a big fan of Walnut Creek at first. Why? Well, aside from the fact that I was born there, it’s a big city and it can be hard to find a place to park at times. But, one of the things that God reminded me of is that a lot of times, He calls us to go places that make us uncomfortable. Yet, even in our discomfort, there’s a reason why He calls us where He calls us. That was the case with me and Kaleo. I can assure you, the moment I became a part of this group, I knew I was where God wanted me. Not because I felt a sense of belonging, but because I needed to be surrounded by people who believe and affirm sound doctrine found in God’s Word and His Gospel.

Since being a part of Kaleo and maintaining my involvement and membership with my church, CV First Baptist, my Tuesday night group, and even interCOM, God has been continuing to work through me and it’s not something I take lightly. I am also happy to report that the storm I was in subsided at the beginning of December. Now, to be clear, there will be more storms ahead. But, when I continue to trust that my savior is in control, I’m going to continue on this journey no matter how dark and rainy the storm is.
